Sarah Jamal realized that she could turn her passion for the environment into a career while studying International Development at the University of Waterloo and attending international climate negotiations. After a year of working in Vietnam in the sustainable agriculture and consulting field, she returned to Canada to work in the corporate social responsibility (CSR) sector for a Fortune 500 company. She then joined Environmental Defence first as a Communications Intern and now as the Toxics Program Coordinator. When not at work, you can find Sarah brewing a batch of kombucha, doing yoga, or making DIY health and beauty products!
